The Plan of Salvation

Many people feel as if they are going through life alone. Though they are surrounded by others and are busy chasing their dreams, they are facing each day without the One who can make the difference in their life, Jesus Christ.

If this sounds like you, and you want more out of life; you want a closer relationship with your God; you want someone to share your life with who will bring out the best in you; you want a life eternal and not just a life here on earth, then you need to ask Jesus to come into your life and make you complete in Him.

Jesus will make all the difference in the world, but you have to come to Him.  You have to take action!  You repent; you commit and Jesus will save you and make you more like him each day of your life!

Are you ready to take that first step?  Below is a simple outline to follow in order to help you understand who Jesus is, what he has done for all of us, and what he wants you to do for Him.

God's Purpose
God's purpose is that we have eternal life.
The Bible says: "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life."  John 3:16
What was God's purpose in giving His Son?
That we should not perish but have eternal life.
But just because God wants us to have eternal life doesn’t mean we will have it…
Our Problem
Sin prevents us from fulfilling God’s purpose for our lives.
The Bible says:… “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
The word translated “sin” means to “miss the target”. God’s target for us is perfect obedience – The Bible says that we have all missed the target.
“[Salvation is] not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:9
No amount of good works will take away our sin.
“For the wages of sin is death…” Romans 6:23
The result of our sin is not just physical death, but also spiritual death. This is an eternal separation from God, which is commonly referred to as Hell.
God’s Provision
Jesus Christ is God’s provision for our sin problem.
The Bible says: “ I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6
Jesus Christ is God’s only provision.
“[Jesus] was delivered over to death for our sins, and was raised to life for our justification.” Romans 4:25
Only Jesus died for our sin and only Jesus was raised from the dead so that we might have eternal life. So what must we do to receive God’s provision for our sin and have eternal life? What is our partt?

Our Part
We must receive Jesus Christ into our lives by repentance, faith and submission to His rule in our lives.
The Bible says we must repent of our sin. “Repent then, and turn to God, that your sins may be wiped out.” Acts 3:19
The Bible says we must place our faith in Jesus Christ and receive him as Lord;
“If you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
The word “confess” indicates we must do more than merely say, “Jesus is Lord”; it means He must really be Lord of our lives.  This verse goes on to say that we must believe in Jesus Christ in our hearts with all that we are and then we will be saved.

Would you like to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior right now?

The Bible says: ”Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13
If you would like to call upon Jesus right now you may use this simple prayer.

Dear Jesus,

I know that I have sinned and cannot save myself. I believe You are God’s Son, that You died for my sin, and that You were raised from the dead. I turn now from my sin, place my faith in you as my Savior, and ask you to be my Lord.
